Dear MDU Family,
This evening Gov. Tony Evers addressed our state issuing Executive Order #94 that calls upon business leaders "to continue doing their part to keep workers, customers, and communities safe by expanding working from home options for workers, offering online or virtual services, and limiting the number of people in offices, facilities, and stores" - all things we are PROUD to say we have been doing since we re-opened in June.
We have been following our Safer Studio™ Standards every step of the way through this season and continue to do so. Our team members have work-from-home capabilities, we are fully tech-enabled with online and virtual options, and we have always limited the number of people in our offices, facility, and store.
We have had over 10,000 visits to our studio since re-opening and only 4 isolated reported cases of COVID-19 - that's less than 1/100th of 1% occurrence.
Our strong focus on safety has made it possible to maintain a very low-risk environment while allowing our young people to benefit from exercise and friendship in a safety-focused environment as well as the associated positive benefits on social-emotional and mental well-being.
We are proud to continue to be a positive anchor in the lives of our local youth and we look forward to seeing and supporting your children in classes this week. In the meantime, please join us in doing all you can to keep our community safe by wearing face coverings, keeping the recommended 6 ft distance from friends and classmates, washing your hands, and staying home if you are unwell. For the safety of our community, if you are unable to or prefer not to wear a face covering, we strongly encourage you to attend our virtual class options.
As always, your teachers and I thank you for your support.

This coming week is a special week just for our Graded Dance Families where you get to tune into your dancer's class(es) via Zoom and watch the ENTIRE class. Many classes have also prepared a special Christmas dance or combination to show you.
Dancers can DRESS UP for this special week!
Your Level 1 and up dancers are also allowed to dress up in their Holiday gear for the next 2 weeks of classes! Wear a Santa hat, Holiday sweater, Christmas socks, etc. Just make sure it is something that you can still move and dance in. We recommend still wearing a leotard underneath and ask for no bare midriff.

Now that it is getting colder and darker earlier, we wanted to send a reminder of our Dancer Drop Off and Pick Up system. We greatly appreciate your help in following these procedures to keep our traffic flow in and out of the building as safe as possible.
Be sure to check out all of the new and exciting opportunities happening at MDU by visiting our Promo page on the website!
We are excited that Dance Revolution is still happening this year, but will be slightly different than in years past. We will be traveling to Dance Revolution in CHICAGO this year! MDU will handle all registrations for any dancer interested in attending. Hotel and transportation will be on your own.
Our annual Christmas Cookie Social generally sponsors and covers scholarships for this amazing event. Due to some changes with our Christmas Cookie Social and Winter Showcase accommodations for large gatherings, scholarships will not be available this year. Over the past 17 years, Miss Misty has donated over $85,000 in Dance Revolution scholarships. We will still be doing what we can to offer opportunities for dancers to raise money for this event (ex. Double Good Popcorn fundraiser in January).
Deadline to sign-up: Wednesday, December 16th
We are excited to announce that we will be livestreaming the Virtual Radix Dance Convention for dancers to take master classes with some amazing Faculty!
