Sept. 23rd-27th: Intersessional Break - NO CLASSES*

The start of the new dance year is the perfect time to add an additional class to your dancer’s schedule! Now that the school year has begun and you are back in the groove, consider adding another style to your class lineup.
We conveniently stack classes for the same age groups or level back to back to encourage dancers to expand their training across various styles. Add a class today to set your dancer up for future success and growth in their dance journey.

All MDU Dancers in 2nd Grade (Building Level) and up are welcome to join us to dance with MDU in the Oktoberfest Maple Leaf Parade on Saturday, September 27th.
*Please note that Dancin' Kids and Competitive Team members do not need to sign up as this is one of your required performances.
DETAILS: The parade starts at 10:00am! Line up time and location details will be emailed to participants signed up via this form as soon as they are available.
Choreography will be taught in all classes Building Level and up (with the exception of acro, pre-pointe and pointe classes) throughout the month of September and reviewed upon lineup on parade day. No additional rehearsals!
ATTIRE: All dancers wear Red MDU T-shirts, solid black leggings or athletic pants (shorts permitted based on weather), and comfortable sneakers. Hair in a ponytail for girls. Red MDU T-shirts are available for purchase at the front desk.
Parent Volunteers who are walking along with our group also wear Red MDU T-shirts, jeans, shorts or black pants, and comfortable shoes.

NO REGULAR CLASSES will be held and the studio will be CLOSED Tuesday, September 23rd - Saturday, September 27th for our first Intersessional Break of the dance season.
Please note that our Intersessional Break starts on Tuesday rather than Monday due to already having No Monday Classes on Labor Day!
Mark your calendars for December 19-21 for our Christmas Social Performances and Performing Groups Winter Showcase at Holmen High School’s Fine Arts Center.
Each year, participating classes are selected and invited from each age group of our Children’s Classes. These classes were published in our Fall Programming Guide.
Please note that since we were able to push our shows to the weekend this year, we have adjusted the dates of our December Parent Observation Week to be December 15-20 (our final week of classes for 2025). This change has been updated on our Calendar of Events on our website for easy reference.
Please remind your dancer that dance bags and other personal belongings should be stored in lockers, the cubbies outside of Studio 4 or taken into classrooms with them. Bags and other belongings should not be left unattended on lobby chairs or benches so that seating is available for parents and dancers waiting for classes.
Did you know we have student lockers up at MDU? Available in both our girls’ and boys’ dressing rooms, these lockers are the perfect home away from home for all your dancer’s gear.
For just $50 for the entire dance year, your dancer can store their classroom attire and shoes, snacks for quick energy boosts, and safely tuck away their personal items while dancing. Click here to check out the guidelines and snag a locker today with our quick and easy request form.
We’ve made it even easier to report and keep track of your absences! You can now report your dancer’s absence directly through your Studio Director portal.

PRO TIP: Be sure to label all of your dancer’s belongings with their name as everyone at the studio has the same or similar gear. Dancers should take all belongings into their classroom with them rather than leaving them unattended in the lobby or dressing areas.
