Exclusive Offer: Enroll in a new class by November 21st to receive FREE November tuition and $28 off the recital costume (in celebration of our 28th season)! Please note: This offer does not apply to switching classes.
How to Participate: Complete the "New Style November Registration Form" HERE, and then come participate in two weeks of free class! It's that easy :)
Spaces are limited and the form will close at 8pm on Sunday, November 2nd.
Spring Recital Costume Selection
Costume selection may seem like a simple process but our team puts a great deal of time and thought into finding each costume. We are members of Youth Protection Association for Dance and hold high the standard of keeping costuming appropriate for age level and theme. We want every dancer to feel great in their costumes when they take the stage! That extra time and effort in the selection process means it also takes time to reveal our chosen costumes for the upcoming Spring Recital Season to you - so thank you in advance for your patience.
Looking Ahead…
November 3-13: Miss Janet and Miss Kari from our Front Desk Team will be visiting our classrooms the first two weeks in November to size dancers for their Spring Recital Costumes. If your dancer is not in class during this time, please stop by the front desk or email our costume coordinator, Miss Tiffany at costumes@mistysdance.com.
November 15: Spring Recital Costume Fees Charged to Accounts. Costume Fees are $89 per class for Children's Classes through 1st Grade and $99 per class for Building Level and Graded Levels of Technique.
Early December: Our Spring Recital Costume Reveal will be emailed to all families.
January- March: Costumes will arrive. Costume companies generally ship items when ready which means we don't receive all of our costumes at the same time. Ship dates vary by company and style. We will notify your class if your costume is expected to arrive later than this timeframe.
May 15 - May 17, 2026: Spring Recital Performances at Viterbo Fine Arts Center!
The Christmas Social is a fun and informal fundraising show to close out the first half of our dance season. This year, we are excited to return to Holmen High School’s Performing Arts Center in Holmen. All proceeds from this event benefit A Chance to Dance Foundation’s scholarship fund and Dancers Against Cancer!
Participating classes were selected and invited from each age group of our Children’s Classes. These classes were published in our Fall Programming Guide and are listed again below (by assigned show) for your convenience.
Choreography will be starting in these classes soon. We know that this is a busy time of year for families. If your dancer is not able to participate with their class for this performance, please let his/her teacher know as soon as possible for planning purposes.
Participating classes will receive an additional email on November 15th with more details including costuming, ticket sales information and more about our new venue.
Show 1: Saturday, December 20 at 12:00pm
Show 2: Saturday, December 20 at 3:00pm
Show 3: Saturday, December 20 at 6:00pm
MDU is proud to partner with Dancers Against Cancer (DAC) by becoming a Hope Studio. DAC’s mission is to create an alliance in the dance community that provides financial support and inspiration to dance educators, choreographers, dancers, and their families who have been impacted by cancer. When you support DAC, you help a dancer in our community, ensuring that the rhythm of hope and unity remains unbroken.
More details on this amazing initiative will be posted in the lobby soon. MDU has pledged to raise $5,000 for DAC by the end of 2025. Help us reach our goal. Donate Today!
No Regular Classes will be held Monday, November 24 - Saturday, November 29 for our scheduled Thanksgiving Break. Happy Thanksgiving from MDU!
Mark your calendar for our first Parent Observation Week of the year! Parent Observation Week will be held December 15th - December 18th. This week is also our final regular class week of 2025.
You are invited into the classroom to watch your dancer’s ENTIRE CLASS during this special week. Sit back, relax and enjoy watching your child do what they LOVE! We ask that you observe quietly, silence your cell phone and that siblings are monitored and quiet during observation time. Feel free to video, take pictures or even invite grandma and grandpa during this special week!
Congratulations to our October Students of the Month! Check out the TV in the Lobby Communications Center which will soon be featuring:
Andrew Dahl
Remy Renaud
Norah Ahnen
Nora Wise
Other nominees include: Gabby Davison, Brielle Easter, Lorelei Edlund, Norah Gilberts, Annalise Hall and Carmen O'Neil. Keep up the great work!
In the event of inclement weather, an email will be sent and Facebook/Instagram posts will be made by 2:00 pm if afternoon/evening classes are canceled (by 8:00 am for morning classes).
Please note that we do not necessarily follow school closings. It is possible that roads may be cleared by the time studio classes begin or that conditions worsen later in the day when school is in session but afternoon/evening travel is not advised. Any canceled classes may be made up on your own time from our regular schedule of classes. In the event there is not a make up class available, a replacement option will be offered.
